Sharing inspiring stories of adversity and the journey to freedom! My name is Robert and for years, I struggled with addictions from crack to methamphetamine and everything in between. In 2010, I was finally arrested and after piling up 53 B/C level felonies, I was sentenced to 3-10 years in prison in Nevada. And then God changed everything. But my story is just one of many and I am on a mission to share real stories from real people who have made it through some tough times and give others going through it the beautiful gift of HOPE! Get inspired and encouraged as we celebrate some highs, cry through some lows, and learn to live one day at a time. I’m not pushy or preachy, I’m just glad you are here!

Journey Through The Message 66 | Bread, Belief, and Beyond!
Thursday Jan 11, 2024
Thursday Jan 11, 2024
Welcome to Set Free 24-7! I'm Robert, your guide on this journey through the Message. Today's episode, 'Bread, Belief, and Beyond,' promises to be a banquet of spiritual insights as we delve into some of the most nourishing passages of Scripture.
We start at the table with Jesus in Matthew 26:17-35, witnessing the poignant moments of the Last Supper. Here, we'll break bread with the disciples and uncover the deeper meanings behind Christ’s words and actions, exploring how this supper sets the stage for what's to come.
Then, we'll shift to the passionate words of Paul in Romans 10. Paul serves us a rich course of faith, righteousness, and salvation, challenging us to consider the depth and reach of our own beliefs.
Then we rewind back to the serene landscape of Psalm 63, we find a soulful yearning for God, a thirst that goes beyond the physical. This Psalm offers a refreshing oasis of faith, reminding us of the enduring strength and comfort found in divine presence.
Lastly, our journey takes us through the ancient paths of Deuteronomy 4-5. Here, Moses reminds us of God's laws and promises, inviting us to reflect on our own commitment to faith and covenant.
'Bread, Belief, and Beyond' isn't just a journey through chapters and verses; it's an exploration of how these timeless truths feed our souls today. So, whether you're hungering for historical context, or simply a fresh perspective on your faith, you're in the right place. Let's get started on this Journey Through the Message!
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:
Matthew 26:17-35 (The Last Supper)
"If you were at the Last Supper, what thoughts or emotions might you have had?"
"How does the idea of Jesus sharing a meal with his friends before a major event resonate with you personally?"
Romans 10
"What does 'believing with your heart' mean to you in your daily life?"
"Have you ever struggled with expressing your faith, like Paul discusses? How did you overcome that?"
Psalm 63
"When have you felt a deep thirst or longing for something more in life, like the Psalmist?"
"What are the 'dry and weary lands' in your life where you seek God's presence?"
Deuteronomy 4-5
"Moses reminds the Israelites about the importance of laws. How do you balance law and grace in your life?"
"If you could speak to Moses, what advice or wisdom would you ask for your own life journey?"
